The Dura Type insert pad was originally developed as an aftermarket upgrade for high end Shimano brake systems. The Kool-Stop Dura pads are the same spec as Shimano pads and fit Shimano, SRAM, TRP and Tektro holders with a set screw. Compounds: - Black: Kool-Stop's standard compound which is great for all weather conditions, but designed for dry condition riding. - Ceramic: This compound was designed for ceramic coated rims and is great in all weather conditions. - Salmon: Kool-Stop's most famous Salmon compound is also one of the most aggressive compounds for extreme all weather conditions especially in the wet, but still superb in the dry. - Carbon: Kool-Stop's original carbon compound which works great for most carbon wheels but will wear quicker on fast steep descents. - Dual: A fusion of Kool-Stop's two finest compounds which will give superb braking in all weather conditions. This combination produces a more controlled smooth stop! Features: - Patented Plow Tip - Water Grooves - Rim Friendly Compounds - Fits 55mm length holders
Kool-Stop's E-Bike disc pads are produced with a ceramic barrier between the organic friction material and the steel backing plate to reduce heat transfer into the brake caliper causing brake fade. With the heavier design and quick speeds of Electric bikes, they require a compound that will hold up and provide consistent braking power. - Qty 1 = enough for 1 wheel
Kool-Stop disc pads are made with organic materials that are blended and bound together using a resin. The compounds do include small amounts of metal to improve the braking formula but though this is a mined material the pads are largely organic. The term semi-metallic can also be used. Kool-Stop has found during testing that their disc pads are Rotor Friendly and provide high performance braking throughout the life of the pad. - Qty 1 = enough for 1 wheel
$12.50 - $12.99
- Thinline: Thinner, longer molded pads for extra clearance and easy adjustment - Red: semi-aggressive compound for good performance - Salmon: aggressive compound for extreme weather conditions - Dual: combination of Salmon and Black compounds for more controlled, smoother stopping

$25.99 - $27.00
To keep your Avid brakes functioning properly, check your pads for wear and replace them when necessary. Organic compound pads are softer for quieter braking and increased modulation, while metallic pads dissipate heat better and last a bit longer. Two pads, one retraction spring and a mounting bolt are included (enough for one brake) in each pad set. And, choose an aluminum backing plate if you're really counting the grams.
Zipp's Tangente Platinum Pro Evo Brake Pads are made for wheels with carbon braking surfaces. These fine pads provide confident, smooth braking power in all conditions and they are specially made for long life. They have a large surface area for maximum stopping power and deep grooves to shed water from the rim and ensure the Evos grip great even when it's wet. These stoppers are also thin so they'll work nicely on time trial and triathlon bicycles with integrated brakes and tight clearances.

Working with the world’s best downhill riders has allowed us to develop top-level braking performance. When designing the all-new E-MTB we wanted to create a brake system for the specific needs of modern electric mountain bikes. With the added weight and speed these bikes will typically generate more heat than a typical mountain bike. Our E-MTB system combines the latest technology in braking with existing technology developed on the World Cup Downhill race circuit. The result is not a rebranded downhill brake rather a system that will meet the unique needs of today’s electric mountain bikes. Overall rotor thickness was increased from 1.8mm to 2.3mm which decreases the operating heat of the brake system by 8% and reduces rotor warping (lateral deformation) by 47%. This means with our new 2.3mm thick rotors rider won’t be glazing pads or overheat under the added stress of an electric mountain bike as they would with other brake systems. When designing the 2.3mm specific caliper, material was added to key areas increasing overall stiffness and heat management. This new caliper also received an open top design allowing pads to be inspected or changed without requiring riders to lift a heavy E-MTB to remove the wheel. The E-MTB was topped off with new lever body design to shave weight. However, our renowned Aaron Gwin designed lever blade ensures TRP’s signature modulation would remain unchanged. SPECIFICATIONS G-SPEC E-MTB - 2.3mm Rotor Specific 4 Piston Caliper Design - Must be paired with E2.3 rotor. - Ergonomic Aaron Gwin Designed Lever Blade - Lightweight Hybrid Pistons - Top Loading Pad Design - Sintered Full Metallic Pads - I-spec II Compatible Hinge Clamp Design - SRAM Matchmaker compatible with HD 3.5 Adapter - Weight: 326g (Front)

In 2016, TRP began working with reigning world cup champion Aaron Gwin. Out of the gate, he was impressed with the initial level of performance, but he did have a list of improvements needed to achieve world cup winning performance. Working closely with the TRP development team, improvements were made in nearly every part of the brake and tested on the world cup circuit throughout the season. The result is G-Spec, Aaron Gwin asked and we delivered every detail. We took most of the changes made to the DH-R EVO brakes and put them into the more affordable standard Quadiem. This brake features the same ergonomic lever made from cast aluminum and a forged/CNC’d caliper. Both of which have been given a matte black finish. It also features a new and stiffer 5.0 mm hose for easier internal routing and better transfer of hydraulic power. In the brake riders will also find hybrid pistons (Composite/Stainless) for improved heat dissipation, tool free indexed reach adjust and cooling fins on the caliper.
